Daniel Whyte III, Who Has Preached the Gospel Nearly Every Day for Over 5 Years Tells Southern Baptist Convention Pastors and Other Pastors to SHUT UP AND PREACH! Challenges them to Preach the Gospel for 100 Days Straight

Daniel Whyte III Tells Southern Baptist Convention Pastors, National Baptist Pastors, Independent Baptist Pastors, Bible Church Pastors, and Other Evangelical Pastors, Including Bible-believing Pentecostals and Methodists, to SHUT UP AND PREACH! in His Message That He Preached on Sunday in the Long-Running Just Jesus Evangelistic Campaign Series. The Title of the Message is “Jesus and the Purpose of the Parables”

The first thing that Daniel Whyte III wants everybody to know is that he is an independent Baptist preacher. He’s not a part of any convention and he has no bone to pick with any of his Bible-believing brethren because God has shown him great favor that he does not deserve over the past 41 years of evangelistic ministry, so much so that the Southern Baptist brethren have been good to him, his family, and to his ministry, the National Baptist brethren have been good to him, his family, and to his ministry, the independent Baptist brethren have been good to him, his family, and to his ministry, the Bible church brethren have been good to him, his family, and to his ministry, and many other Bible-believing brethren, including Bible-believing Pentecostals and Methodists, have been good to him, his family, and to his ministry far beyond what he deserves. One day while preaching every day for five years, he was traveling through Arkansas, and to keep his streak going, so to speak, he had to come off the road, and he asked an Episcopalian pastor if he would let him use one of their rooms to preach the Gospel online, and he let him use one of their rooms to preach the Gospel, so he thanks God for all Bible-believing brothers and sisters in Christ, because they have been a blessing to him, his family, and his ministry down through the years, so he’s not mad at anybody.

Daniel Whyte III, who has preached the Gospel nearly every day for over 5 years straight in the long-running Just Jesus Evangelistic Campaign and other campaigns and who has recently gotten liberty from the Lord to take an extended working vacation where he does three to four podcasts a day and preaches twice a week, is challenging all Bible-believing Southern Baptist Convention pastors, National Baptist pastors, Independent Baptist pastors, Bible Church pastors, and all other Evangelical pastors, including Bible-believing Pentecostals and Methodists, to preach the Gospel every day for 100 days straight, and if they are too old or too sick to preach the Gospel for 100 days straight, to open up a classroom or a chapel for one of their young, God-called preachers to preach on a daily basis and put them on the church social media platform where they can be heard on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Zoom, and other outlets around the world live and on-demand and have them preach the Gospel for 100 days straight and stop talking about things close to nothing, such as politics, church politics, critical race theory, leaked letters, the high-tech lynching of your own good brethren, women preachers, racism, and other such insignificant issues in light of God’s grand scheme of things. The devil has bamboozled pastors to waste time on issues that are not that important in light of the fact that the world is burning down, and eternal souls are going to HELL by the thousands DAILY. Every God-called preacher really ought to be preaching the Gospel and the Word of God at least until Christmas, which from today is about 185 days. You will be amazed at what God will do with you preaching the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ from your auditorium, from your office, from your kitchen counter, from a chapel on your church campus, or a classroom on your church campus, around the world on the various platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Zoom. Believe it or not, people are hungry for the Gospel, particularly in this day of the universal novel coronavirus plague-pandemic, which by the way within the next few weeks is coming back to America with a vengeance with the Indian variant coronavirus plague. Now mind you, at this point, as I have said in another article, this is not about trying to save America. We had our opportunity, we had our shot, and the truth of the matter is we, the church, have failed God, we have failed Jesus Christ, and we have failed America and the world. But on our way out of here, in the words of the Apostle Paul, if we preach the Gospel faithfully, we can “save some.”

Dealing with such insignificant issues as was mentioned above, at this point in our journey in America and the history of the church, is quite frankly nothing but easy subjects to deal with to make people feel like they are doing something significant when they know they have failed at doing the most important work that God has called them to do, and that is giving themselves to “prayer and to the ministry of the word.” Now, if you really have a burden from God about these issues, then preach it from the Word of God! Put it in a Biblical sermon if you have Biblical grounds for what you are talking about. Don’t sit around slamming people on Twitter and Facebook and your blog. Preach the Word of God and make sure you preach the Gospel at the end of what you are talking about. There is no form of communication on earth more powerful and more beautiful than preaching. If you feel like you have Biblical grounds to defend critical race theory, then preach it from the Scriptures. If you have Biblical grounds to preach against critical race theory, then preach it from the Scriptures, and then do not fail to tell them that Jesus Christ said the most wonderful, the most powerful, and the most important words ever said to mankind in the history of the world when He said in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Let them know that red, yellow, black, and white, you are precious in God’s sight and Jesus Christ suffered, bled, and died on the cross for your sins and rose on the third day by the power of God. If you have Biblical grounds for ordained women pastors, then preach that from the Scriptures. If you have Biblical grounds against ordained women pastors, then preach that from the Scriptures, but remind people that whatever you believe about that, please understand Jesus Christ said the most wonderful, the most powerful, and the most important words ever said to mankind in the history of the world when He said in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Preach, black preacher, preach! Preach, white preacher, preach!

The truth of the matter is that the Southern Baptist Convention and other Bible-believing brothers would not be in the uproar they are in about these things if they had taken the advice I gave them some 5 years ago, which I repeated at the beginning of the year when the new president came in, and that has been on this page and this website the whole time:

The daily Just Jesus Evangelistic Campaign sermon series is aimed at sharing the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with unbelievers and reminding Christians, in this important election year, to keep the main thing the main thing — and that is reaching unbelievers with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and praying for their salvation, for the problem in America is not only disobedient presidents, politicians, and people, but disobedient pastors, preachers, and parishioners who have refused to obey the Lord’s Great Commission which is to, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” and who have refused to obey God’s repeated commands to “pray without ceasing” for unbelievers, believers, and political leaders. Yes, you should pray for the right candidate to win; yes, you should vote for the candidate that the Lord gives you peace about voting for. But don’t get caught up in it as the world does. Nothing much is going to change until people get saved and get their hearts right with the Lord.

This campaign is inspired by the following three verses: 1 Corinthians 2:2 says, “For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.”

Acts 5:42 says, “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.”

2 Timothy 2:4 says, “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”

This series is not for Christians necessarily. However, I do hope you are one of those saints who still loves to hear the “Old, old story of Jesus and His love” — As another hymn says, “For those who know it best Seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest.” This series is primarily for unbelievers, so they can hear and understand the Gospel and be saved from sin and the punishment of sin which is hell.

All the cacophony, noise, and confusion going on right now is obviously rooted in pride:

“Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.” – Proverbs 13:10

“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” – 1 Corinthians 14:33

“But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.” – Galatians 5:15-17

If you walk in the flesh like this, you will fight and devour one another, so I challenge my dear brethren to shut up and preach! Preach the Gospel, preach the Word of God, “preach the word in season and out of season,” and give yourselves “to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

Jesus and the Purpose of the Parables, Part 5 (Just Jesus Evangelistic Campaign, Day 1502 since Jan. 20, 2017 / Day 1867 since Jan. 1, 2016)

TEXT: Matthew 13:10-17

10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

——-

Now, if you are with us today and you do not know Jesus Christ as your Savior, allow me to show you how you can place your faith and trust in Him for Salvation from sin and Hell.

First, accept the fact that you are a sinner, and that you have broken God’s law. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Second, accept the fact that there is a penalty for sin. The Bible states in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…”

Third, accept the fact that you are on the road to hell. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 18:8: “Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.” Also, the Bible states in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Now that is bad news, but here’s the good news. Jesus Christ said in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will.

Romans 10:9 & 13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved… For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

If you believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead, and you want to trust Him for your Salvation today, please pray with me this simple prayer: Holy Father God, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. I am sorry for my sins, and today I choose to turn from my sins. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. I trust Jesus Christ as my Savior and I choose to follow Him as Lord from this day forward. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today. Amen.

If you believed in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the Cross, was buried, and rose again, allow me to say, congratulations on doing the most important thing in life and that is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour! Anthony Jones of Houston, Texas, was left with a huge ‘coronavirus tongue’ that made it impossible for him to speak or eat after being put on a ventilator to survive the virus — Eight of nine coronavirus-related macroglossia cases in the United States have occurred in Black Americans

Some COVID-19 patients are developing a condition that causes their tongue to permanently expand so much they can not speak or eat.

Macroglossia is a condition where someone’s tongue is inflamed and begins to swell.

Dr James Melville, one of the top researchers of the condition, is aware of nine cases where a COVID-19 patient developed the condition.

‘It’s actually a relatively common condition, but not to the degree of those patients. Those are what we consider massive or giant macroglossia and those are extremely rare,’ he said.

One of the patients he treated, Anthony Jones, woke up after surviving a critical case of COVID-19 that left him on a ventilator with his tongue swollen to several times its normal size.

He has finally recovered, but Dr Melville and other doctors remain mystified over what might cause the rare complication.

Dr Melville treated the first two cases of COVID-related macroglossia early in the pandemic last year.

There have been seven new cases of the condition related to COVID-19 since then, with each being the rare, massive version of the condition.

One case was that of Anthony Jones, a Houston man who developed the condition after being hospitalized with the virus.

Jones had to use a ventilator in order to handle the virus, and when he woke up after treatment, his tongue was so swollen that he could not speak or eat.

As became common practice, Jones’s doctors rolled him onto his stomach to alleviate some of the strain on his lungs – but that only made his tongue worse.

Dr Melville had to perform surgery to reduce the massive size of Jones’s tongue and alleviate the inflammation.

The operation was a success, but how Jones became inflicted with massive macroglossia is still unknown.

Dr Melville has a few guesses as to how it happens, though.

He thinks the inflammation is caused for the same reasons that other organs in someone’s body may become inflamed and swell after contracting the virus.

There are reports that some have had their hearts, or other organs, enlarge after contracting the virus.

‘We were noticing similar histological features with our COVID positive patients with other organs they were doing autopsies on, so say kidneys or lungs or heart,’ he said.

‘I think the [cases] we’re finding, and histology is proving that COVID may be causing, are a more exaggerated inflammatory reaction in the tongue, which might be causing the tongue to get bigger, but that’s all the research work that I’m doing trying to prove that.’

Dr. Melville is working to find what other factors combine with COVID-19 to cause the tongue swelling.

Typical causes of macroglossia include strokes, and laying in a prone position for a long time, as Jones was when he was in the hospital.

He believed that it was possible that patients who needed a ventilator to breathe when in the hospital with COVID-19 were sometimes turned over to their stomach to help them breathe easier.

Spending so long in that position could have cause tongue swelling.

Not all the patients Dr Melville looked at were incubated in a prone position, though.

Eight of the nine patients to develop the condition were Black, leading him to believe race may be involved, specifically angioedema.

Angioedema is a condition where parts of someone’s body may begin to swell due to either an allergic reaction or hereditary causes.

Black people are more likely to develop the condition than white people.

Answers for what causes the condition at this level of severity in COVID patients are few and far between, though.

Macroglossia caused by COVID-19 will not naturally go away on its own, and requires treatment from a specialist.

Some patients have needed a stomach tube in order to eat since they could not eat food with the condition.

Jones is expected to make a full recovery, and will slowly be able to regain his ability to talk over time.

Woman Who Was Targeted by Married Hillsong Pastor Darnell Barrett Speaks Out: Her Name Is Lezeth and She Says the Church Already Knew About His Lecherous Behavior but Were Waiting to See if It Got Out

A young woman targeted by a married Hillsong Church leader who sent her photos of his bulging manhood claims church officials were aware of his lecherous behavior but didn’t acknowledge it until the scandal became public.

‘They already knew about it,’ Lezeth, 30, a former Hillsong member who wished to be identified by her first name only, told DailyMail.com in her first interview since the story broke last month.

‘I think they were just waiting to see if it got out. If it didn’t, they’d just keep going on as if nothing happened – which is what we’re finding to be a common thing with Hillsong.’

Darnell Barrett, 32, resigned as creative director of Hillsong’s New Jersey chapter on April 27, citing ‘infidelities’ in his marriage. It was the same day DailyMail.com had approached him for comment at the West Orange, New Jersey home he shares with his wife.

But it also came two months after the church leader had shared the lewd photos with select friends on Instagram.

He direct messaged Lezeth a link to the two selfies, which showed him posing in front of a mirror wearing nothing but white Nike Pro tights, barely concealing what appeared to be his engorged penis extending down his thigh.

Screenshots published by DailyMail.com at the time showed Barrett had initially tried to play it off as a mistake before apparently trying to lure her into a conversation.

He claimed the explicit photos were ‘some real raw s**t I send to my friends. Lol.’

‘Seriously, sorry about that. I guess…’ he continued.

Only after DailyMail.com broke the story the following day did Hillsong put out a vague statement saying they had accepted Barrett’s resignation and ‘were disappointed to learn about choices he made that were unacceptable for any Hillsong staff member.’

Rumors of the scandal began circulating on social media a week before the story broke, when influential celebrity Instagram account DeuxMoi shared a tip about a senior Hillsong leader who had been sending inappropriate messages.

And Lezeth said she learned of at least one current member who had also received the lewd photos and reported them to church higher-ups.

Hillsong officials declined to comment when contacted by DailyMail.com.

However, a source close to Hillsong acknowledged that the church began ‘reviewing’ Barrett for other indiscretions before the photos were posted and that he was already under suspension.

‘There might have been some other situations with Darnell that they were working on,’ the source said.

But the insider insisted Hillsong hadn’t known about the photo incident before the DeuxMoi posting.

‘I know he was under review and had been suspended. But specifically about the photo, Hillsong leadership was not informed about the inappropriate photo before it was publicly reported.

‘They refute suggestions that such careless action would not be addressed immediately.’

According to Lezeth, however, the photo scandal fits a pattern of Hillsong pastors misbehaving for years and getting away with it.

She believes it’s a result of a church culture that allegedly normalizes misogynist behavior toward women and said officials only acknowledge wrongdoing and do their customary finger-wagging when someone gets caught.

Lezeth likened Barrett’s departure to the cheating scandal that brought down Carl Lentz, the lead pastor of the megachurch’s six East Coast branches who was fired in November after word of his mistress got out.

However, reports of Lentz’s alleged sexual improprieties had first emerged three years prior.

Lezeth said she was reluctant to report Barrett’s indiscretions directly to Hillsong because of their alleged initial coverup involving Lentz.

She thought they might have already known about Barrett’s behavior since she and her Hillsong friends had been hearing rumors of his own extracurricular activities with women.

‘The church has done a really good job of keeping these things really quiet,’ she said.

‘I just knew the church isn’t the place to go to because the pastors are here to protect themselves.’

She said she experienced it firsthand when she volunteered for the New Jersey chapter between 2014 and 2016.

She described a male-dominated culture where pastors are regarded as royalty and pampered like celebrities, while women are treated like second-class citizens, relegated to support roles, serving as volunteers, babysitters and sex objects.

‘Men are to be respected and be leaders and women are to be followers,’ Lezeth said.

‘There’s a common idea that women are supposed to be submissive to men.

‘And I think it’s what allows these big pastors on stage to think, “If I send a shot like this of me shirtless showing my penis, she’s definitely going to be interested in that and I can definitely do that even though I have a wife.”‘

‘Normally, you’re on a stage seeing guys like Carl preaching, whereas their wives are on the stage for like five minutes,’ she added.

‘And the guys are like, ‘this is my hot wife.’ That was a whole thing that always made me feel uncomfortable. The whole idea of ‘Here’s my smoking hot wife. She’s also great, she’s going to open prayer.’ Then she sits down and the man takes over and preaches.’

Lezeth joined Hillsong shortly after moving to New Jersey, where she worked as a property manager.

Growing up as a churchgoer listening to Hillsong’s Grammy-winning records, she was blown away when she finally got to experience a live Sunday service with nearly 2,000 parishioners at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair.

She sat by herself in the dark hall, looked up as the countdown clock ticked to zero, smoke filled the stage, the lights flickered on and musicians began to play.

‘It feels like you are at a concert,’ she said. ‘You have this charismatic speaker, pastor Carl Lentz with his tattoos, his leather jacket and ripped jeans speaking a message.

‘I remember seeing a banner that says ‘Welcome Home’ and thinking, ‘Okay, I am home. I’ve finally found my spot where I can connect with people like me.”

She devoted herself to Hillsong as a volunteer, working in venue design. She’d arrive at the concert hall they’d rent at 6am to help set up the venue with Hillsong flourishes, hanging Welcome Home banners and placing crates over the bar area, which would normally be flowing with alcohol.

A few times, she was invited onto the stage as a backup choir singer, where she’d stand behind the lead performers and sing from moving lyrics displayed on a TV screen.

‘I would just fixate on the words,’ she said. ‘There was one time when I was in the choir, in the front row next to my friend and I just remember looking out into the audience, and that’s when I saw Justin Bieber.

‘I stopped singing and looked over, and was like, ‘Is that…?’ She goes, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, just keeping singing.’ I was like, ‘Oh my god. Here we go.”

Bieber was a regular at Hillsong in Manhattan and would sometimes attend services in Montclair, where Lentz lived with his wife and children.

Bieber, like other celebrities and bigwigs attending the church, would get special seats up front.

What Lezeth didn’t expect was that Lentz himself would expect the VIP treatment.

She learned this when volunteering to prepare the ‘green room,’ a backstage area where Lentz and special guests like Bieber would gather before the service. She’d fill a vase with flowers, slice up fresh fruit.

‘Pastor Carl specifically liked pre-boiled eggs,’ she explained. ‘You’d get his boiled eggs and dump it out into a little bowl.

‘The fridge, all the drinks would need to be very specifically placed with the labels peering out. You’d lay out the fruit in a nice spread.’

‘You’d do all this work,’ she said. ‘Then pastor Carl would come in. You’d be like, ‘okay, he’s here.’

‘I remember being told: ‘Well, Okay, don’t say anything to him. Just stand outside the room and just stand there, and if he needs you, he’ll let you know.’

‘I remember him walking into the room with his family and he doesn’t even acknowledge me,’ she said. ‘And I’m just standing there, thinking: ‘Okay cool, this doesn’t feel good.’

She received similar treatment when she volunteered as a teen leader, accompanying young people who attended Hillsong, joining them at services and taking them out for bonding activities such as pizza parties.

The man who led the group, Diego, invited all the volunteers over to his house once as a thank you for their efforts. But Lezeth said he didn’t even know her name.

‘He was very cool, talking like the kids, wanting to be friends,’ she added.

‘I would see him outside that setting. He would never know my name. He never took time to get to know me as his essential supporter in this section.’

‘It was obvious that if you weren’t someone that the pastors deemed worthy of getting to know, then you weren’t going to get to know them.

‘Even if you sacrifice your own personal time to support what they’re doing, if you weren’t known, if you weren’t a model, celebrity status, well connected, then they weren’t going to take the time to know you personally.’

She called it ironic when all the women of Hillsong would be invited to take the stage once a year for a special ‘sisterhood’ ceremony celebrating their role as women.

‘We have this night to hang out and be worshiped and doted on by the men in the church,’ she said, laughing. ‘You could wear a crown and you would do these beautiful photo shoots where you’re queens.’

It just reminded her of the obvious.

‘There’s no women that are leading and getting on stage and speaking, in these positions of power,’ she said. ‘They’re just the ones doing all the work.’

She barely knew Darnell Barrett when she volunteered for Hillsong and recalled that the only time he seemed to show her any interest was at her going-away party in 2016, when he showed up at the bar.

‘He came up and was like, ‘I’m really going to be miss you,’ she recalled.

Then they followed each other on Instagram.

Barrett would occasionally remark on photos she’d post, particularly ones where she was wearing a bikini, she said.

It wasn’t until four years later and two months after the Lentz scandal broke, that Darnell sent her a private message saying he was heading to Austin, where she had moved.

‘I’m looking to be off the grid,’ he wrote in January. ‘Wouldn’t be upset if I didn’t have cell phone signal – but need a local liquor store,’ he added with a heart emoji.

Then in late February, she woke up to find a direct message from Barrett linking to the penis photos and called him out for his behavior before blocking his account.

Days later, she shared an anonymous tip about it with DeuxMoix, which posted it a month later.

Lezeth further elaborated on the incident in an interview with DailyMail.com.

When confronted by DailyMail.com reporters about the story, Barrett acknowledged he posted the photos and said he’d resigned earlier that day so he could work on ‘infidelity issues’ in his marriage.

Hillsong acknowledged the resignation the next day, the latest in a string of departures rocking the church in recent months.

In January, former Dallas pastor Reed Bogard and his wife, Jess Bogard, resigned after revelations they used donations to fund their luxury lifestyle.

Hillsong issued a statement in April stating that is was shuttering the Dallas branch, adding: ‘It was very disappointing to learn that, while some of you experienced the Bogards as dedicated pastors, many others have experienced leadership that failed to meet the commitments and standards of Hillsong Church.’

Lezeth said these departures aren’t the result of just a few ‘bad apples’ in the global megachurch, but rather they are part of a systemic problem.

‘From the very beginning, Hillsong started out in controversy,’ she said, noting that Hillsong founder Brian Houston’s pastor father was accused of sexually abusing children in the 1960s and 70s.

‘Brian started another church, disassociating himself from his father. And throughout the years, they’ve had multiple controversies they have been able to just kind of snuff out,’ she said.

‘The whole point of why I’m doing this is not to say I want to cancel Hillsong.

‘But I think something needs to be brought to light, that there is something going on here that isn’t right, that’s not Christlike. There’s something a little more sinister, a little bit dark, a little bit f***d up that’s going on that I hope people can start recognizing.

‘This has been going on for years,’ she continued. ‘People have been covering up a bunch of stuff and getting away with it.

‘There’s a saying that a spoiled fruit ruins the harvest. I think that’s what’s happening here. You have a few bad apples messing up something that should be beautiful and should be great.

‘But it’s gone on for too long now where it’s all starting from the top, and these top people are creating this really bad situation for a lot of people.’

This is what Daniel Whyte III wrote on Thursday, April 30:

This Is Not Good; Parents Will Start Pulling Their Students From Liberty University if This Is Allowed to Go on: Jerry Falwell Jr. Invites Liberty Students to ‘real’ Graduation Party at His Farm Despite Lawsuit and Scandals; Daniel Whyte III, Who Is a Proud Parent of 7 Liberty University Graduates and Students Says That if the President Jerry Prevo and Chairman of the Board Allen McFarland Do Not Forcibly Do Everything in Their Power to Stop This So-called Graduation Party From Happening, Liberty University Will Be Destroyed by the Very President They Fired Because of the Evil and the Hypocrisy That Jerry Falwell Jr. And His Wife Becki Have Done Before God Which Includes Adultery, the Watching of Adultery, Homosexuality, Swinging, Lusting After Students, Taking Pictures With Students and Assistants in Sexually Suggestive Ways, and on and on

(RNS) — The party is over.

Former Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. has reportedly canceled a graduation party he planned to host Saturday (May 8) on his family farm, which, during a spontaneous appearance at an event last week, he called the “real Liberty graduation.”

The cancelation comes after Falwell reportedly was hospitalized over the weekend for testing related to the blood clots in his lungs he was diagnosed with last year.

“As a result, we regrettably must cancel the picnic this weekend,” he said in a statement his wife Becki Falwell provided Monday to local Lynchburg, Virginia, news station ABC13 News.

Falwell had announced the party onstage at an outdoor comedy show that was attended by Liberty students.

He later told Religion News Service he was joking about the party being the “real” Liberty graduation and called the event “my way of saying thank you” to students at the evangelical Christian school, who, he said, have supported him through the past year.

He did not comment on plans for the party at the time, though his latest statement characterizes it as a picnic.

Falwell resigned last year from Liberty — which was founded by his late father, the Rev. Jerry Falwell Sr. — as he weathered a series of controversies, including a questionable post on social media he claimed was “meant in good fun.” He also faced allegations that he and Becki Falwell had a yearslong sexual relationship with a business associate, which the Falwells have disputed.

He told RNS last week the party was on as long as his health didn’t take a turn, noting he has been receiving treatment for blood clots in his lungs, something he has said his mother also battled.

But, his statement to ABC13 News reads, “Unfortunately, this weekend I encountered another bout of symptoms resulting from the respiratory emboli that were first diagnosed last year. For the fourth time this year I was admitted to the hospital for a series of tests to address my labored breathing and other effects of the emboli.”

Falwell said in the statement that canceling the party was “a major disappointment to us since we wanted to celebrate the success of the graduating students and show them our appreciation.

“To them, our entire family extends our sincere congratulations and fond farewell,” he added.

(RNS) — Former Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr., who left the school last year in the wake of multiple scandals, made an appearance at a gathering that included students over the weekend where he invited attendees to the “real Liberty graduation” at his own house next month.

Religion News Service has obtained footage of the moment that matches a shorter video circulating on Twitter claiming to show Falwell’s invitation.

In the videos, Falwell, who resigned in 2020 as president and chancellor of the evangelical school, can be seen standing on an outdoor stage beneath handmade signs that include a cross, as a crowd attending what several people have identified as a comedy show look on. Holding a microphone, Falwell invites seniors to an event at “our farm” on May 8, saying, “We’re going to have the real Liberty graduation.”

“If you’re not a senior but you’re dating one, you can come, too,” he added, according to the video obtained by RNS.

In the longer video, Falwell said he and his wife, Becki Falwell, were out to dinner when they heard from their daughter, a junior at Liberty, that she was at the show. He had only come to extend the invitation, he said.

He noted his daughter was “probably so pissed at me right now” and encouraged students to spread the word “as fast as you can” about the event on social media.

“We gotta move quickly,” he said.

Reached by RNS on Friday (April 30), Falwell said he was joking about the party being the “real” Liberty graduation. The planned event at his 500-acre farm, where his family has lived for 33 years, is “my way of saying thank you” to the students, who he said have supported him through the past year of controversy.

“I just want to thank the students because they’ve shown me so much love through all this ordeal. Everywhere I go, they’re so forgiving. They’re so loving. And I want to reciprocate by having them out to my farm,” he said.

He said the party is on as long as his health doesn’t take a turn, noting he has been receiving treatment for blood clots, something his mother also battled. He did not comment on plans for the party.

Asked about those who have questioned whether it is appropriate for the former president of the university to host such a party, Falwell said, “I live right here, and I’ve got a big farm, and I got a bunch of students that I love and that love me, and I’m going to do it.

“I don’t care whether anybody likes it or not,” he said, laughing.

The reaction from the student body is not immediately clear. In one video, an onlooker can be heard whispering excitedly as Falwell makes the announcement, saying, “Let’s go.”

But Save71, an alumni group that has been critical of the former university president, expressed concerns about Falwell’s behavior, given past scandals involving him and his wife.

“Leaders of a university are obligated to do their best to protect students, but Liberty’s leaders have not investigated or even acknowledged allegations of sexually predatory behavior by the Falwells,” said Dustin Wahl, cofounder of Save71.

“Now Jerry Falwell Jr. is taking advantage of their inaction.”

Liberty University officials could not immediately be reached for comment.

Falwell has appeared at some recent events on Liberty’s campus, although he has since tweeted that he and Becki Falwell have been banned from campus.

He also has reappeared on social media recently after a hiatus.

Falwell had been silent while receiving medical treatment for his blood clots, he told RNS, which has included blood thinners and a trip to a New York University hospital at the advice of a doctor he said was introduced to him by conservative talk show host Sean Hannity.

But, he said, “I’m slowly getting better, and I’m ready to fight again.”

Falwell caused controversy last August by briefly posting a photo on Instagram of himself with his arm around a woman who is not his wife, their pants unzipped and midriffs bared. Though Falwell said the photo was meant “in good fun” and was taken at a costume party while on vacation, he soon took an indefinite leave of absence and later resigned.

He has faced allegations that he and Becki Falwell had a yearslong sexual relationship with a business associate, which the Falwells have disputed.

Politico also has reported allegations by a former Liberty student, who claimed he had a sexual encounter with Becki Falwell — who the student described as “the aggressor” after she allegedly continued to pursue him later — while staying at the Falwell home after band practice with the Falwells’ eldest son in 2008. Jerry and Becki Falwell responded at the time by calling the allegations “false and mean spirited lies.”

Jerry Falwell Jr., is currently being sued by the school he once ran, with Liberty’s lawyers demanding $10 million from him, citing conspiracy and breach of contract involving the recent scandals.

Falwell told RNS it was “evil what some of these people at Liberty are doing just to try to grab power.” At age 59, he said, he’s done his work and is fine if that happens.

“But the world needs to know I didn’t do anything wrong. The world needs to know it’s just a power grab,” he said.

“And I’ll probably tell that to the students.”

Thank You, Bezos and Amazon: Amazon Won’t Stop Selling the Book ‘Irreversible Damage: the Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters’

Amazon will continue to sell a controversial book slammed by some critics as “full of misinformation” and with the “potential to hurts transgender youth” — despite an internal complaint filed by a group of employees.

According to The Seattle Times, last month dozens of employees backed a complaint arguing that the book “Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters” violated the company’s policy against selling titles “that frame LGBTQ+ identity as a mental illness.”

Leaders of the company’s LGBTQ affinity group — Glamazon — also urged the tech giant to stop selling the book, according to Slack messages viewed by the paper.

“As a proud Amazonian and a queer person, I invite Amazon to do the right thing and remove this book from our offerings globally,” an employee wrote in the initial complaint.

The book, written by Wall Street Journal opinion columnist Abigail Shrier and released in June, 2020, suggests that transgender youth “are not truly transgender, but rather just confused,” according to Dr. Jack Turban, an adolescent psychiatry fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine.

Writing for Psychology Today in December, Turban slammed the book as “full of irresponsible journalistic practices and outright falsehoods.”

“Abigail Shrier’s essential book will help you understand what the trans craze is and how you can inoculate your child against it — or how to retrieve her from this dangerous path,” a description of the book on Amazon reads.

The book’s central premise is that transgender youth are being rushed into gender-affirming health care, which is something they will later regret, according to Turban.

Last year, Turban served as the lead author in a study that found that transgender adults who had access to pubertal suppression treatment during adolescence had lower risks of suicidal thoughts during their lifetime.

The results seemed to confirm previous evidence that offering gender-affirming medical care for transgender youth can lead to a lifetime improvement of mental health for transgender adults.

The study, published on Jan. 23, 2020, provided “evidence in the context of lingering questions among some health care professionals and in the general public about the purpose and mental health implications of pubertal suppression,” Dr. Alex Keuroghlian, the study’s senior author, told the Daily News at the time.

“Irreversible Damage” has been pulled off Target’s online bookstore twice. The first time was in November 2020. However, after conservative commentators slammed the move as “spineless,“ the retailer started selling the book again “to offer a broad assortment for our guests.”

The book was “suddenly gone” again from the online store in February, according to a tweet by the author.

Earlier this year, Amazon announced it would no longer sell books framing LGBTQ identities as mental illnesses.

The announcement came after four GOP senators — Marco Rubio (Fl.), Mike Lee (Utah), Mike Braun (Ind.) and Josh Hawley (Miss.) — wrote a letter to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos protesting against the company’s “censorship of conservative books and assault on free speech.”

The four lawmakers questioned the retailer’s decision to remove the book “When Harry Became Sally” from the Amazon website, Kindle, and Audible platforms — which they saw as “an assault on free speech that carries weighty implications for the future of open discourse in the digital age,” and they requested some answers about the retailer’s decision.

Amazon’s VP of public policy Brian Huseman sent the senators a response letter explaining that the company provides its customers with a variety of books, including some that some customers may find objectionable.

However, Huseman continued, “we have chosen not to sell books that frame LGBTQ+ identity as a mental illness,” he said, using the acronym that includes any other gender or sexual identity.

“We reserve the right not to sell certain content,” he wrote. “All retailers make decisions about what selection they choose to offer, as do we.”

According to The Seattle Times, late last month, Amazon’s director of book content risk and quality posted the company’s decision to continue selling “Irrevestible Damage.”

“Amazon has an internal process for evaluating the appropriateness of books and we have shared your feedback,” the director wrote on April 23. “In this case, the process included gathering feedback from Glamazon board members and the Books Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team. After examining the content of the book in detail and calibrating with senior leadership, we have confirmed that it does not violate our content policy.”

According to Slack messages shared with members of the Glamazon group, one board member said that, “We were consulted. We told them [the book is] transphobic and needs to be removed.”

Earlier this year, more than 200 people sent a letter to the Ottawa Public Library in Canada protesting the “transphobic book.”

Elm Klemic, a parent of four, told CTV News Ottawa that their “six-year-old has told us since age three that they’re not a boy or a girl and they present themselves as pretty gender non-conforming.”

“As somebody who identifies within the trans spectrum and as somebody who has a trans child as well, it hit close to home and I was really outraged about it,” Klemic said. “The main theory in this book is that trans youth don’t know themselves, and can’t, shouldn’t be allowed to transition.”
